Georgia is grown on a three acre, dry-farmed estate vineyard in Yountville. This exquisite, Graves-style (dry white Bordeaux) Sauvignon Blanc is fermented and aged in 100% French oak barrels for eighteen months. It displays unprecedented depth and complexity, amazing texture, and a long lingering finish. Lail Vineyards was the first winery in the New World to produce a Sauvignon Blanc in this complex and captivating style, beginning with the 2002 vintage. The proprietary name celebrates the first member of the sixth generation of our family’s winemaking in Napa Valley, Georgia Eileen. It has been called by a leading wine writer”…California’s most complex and multi-dimensional Sauvignon Blanc.”
WINEMAKER NOTES
“ Medium Straw in color, the 2023 Georgia Sauvignon Blanc is intense and spirited, bursting forth with stone fruit, tangerine, and honeysuckle aromas. The flavors include pineapple, mango, Meyer lemon and mint. This is the classic minerality and toasted brioche, with white truffle and coconut intertwined, snapped together by the signature acidity and energy of the Totem Vineyard. One hundred percent Sauvignon Blanc, it screams of the wonderful growing season that was vintage 2023.”
